Classic UGG Crochet – Styles of Crochet Boots From UGG Australia
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion, fashion news on October 14th, 2009
When looking for a boot that has a good bit of style versatility as well as the ultimate comfortable fit, it is definitely worth the time to take a look at Classic UGG Crochet boots. This year there are two styles of crochet boots from the UGG “Classic” collection, for both women and girls. Here is a bit of information about each of the styles:
Classic UGG Cardy Crochet – These boots have been around for a couple of years now, and I can almost not say enough good things about them! These are not only amazingly comfortable with a sheepskin sock lining and wool blend upper, but they have a style that befits women who love an all-time classic – the cardigan sweater. These boots are quite versatile with the ability to be worn up the leg and buttoned, pushed down the leg for a slouchy and more casual look or even folded over for a completely different appearance. They are available in both women’s and girls’ sizes and will likely become even more popular than they have been due to their unique color selection this year.
Classic Crochet Boot – This is the original “Crochet Classic” from UGG. From what I am able to tell, they are no longer in production but can still sometimes be found online. They have a simpler design than the Cardy yet have some versatility with the ability to be worn straight up the leg or slouched down for a more casual look. These are also available in both women’s and girls sizes, but it can be a bit of a trick to find them online. They are, however, available from a few different merchants – often for markdown prices.
No matter which style of boots one might choose from the Classic UGG Crochet collection, it is almost certain that they will become a top favorite in a fall and winter wardrobe!
Classic Stripe UGG Boots – Color, Style and Sizing Tips
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion, fashion news on October 13th, 2009
This year, UGG Australia has created some unique and fun styles in boots for women – Classic Stripe UGG Boots are a perfect example of this! These boots are a great addition to a casual winter wardrobe, and are definitely a fun new look for women. However if you are shopping, there are a few things to know about the boot that could be helpful before making a purchase.
Colors: All of the Classic Stripe boots have a “dark against light” striped look, but there are three separate color combination’s to choose from including Black/Cream, Chocolate/Cream and Navy/Cream. All of these color combination’s can be quite versatile with a casual winter ensemble, and are a great choice to wear with jeans.
Style: These boots have a cable stripe knit, the stripes are positioned in a horizontal pattern. The look of the boots can be adjusted by pushing the boots down the leg a little or a lot for a slouchy or “scrunchy” look. As a tip, with the horizontal stripes, these boots may not be a good choice for ladies with a wider calf – the stripes can add width to the leg. However for ladies with a thinner calf they are a great choice to add a bit of a shapely look.
Sizing: The Classic Stripe knit UGG boot is available in full sizes only and is known to run about a size large. For women who wear a full size, it is advised to purchase one full size down from normal, while for women who are between sizes (”half size”), purchasing a size one and a half down from normal should provide a good fit. As a note, these boots should fit snugly without feeling uncomfortable – they are known to stretch a bit and conform to the foot to provide the perfect, comfortable fit.
For ladies who love a bit of “pizzazz” with their winter wardrobe, Classic Stripe UGG Boots might just be the perfect choice – if the information above is followed, they can normally be purchased online for a lower price, with a great fit the first time.
Bailey Button UGG Boots For Women – New Addition to the Classics From UGG Australia
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion, fashion news on October 11th, 2009
The Bailey Button UGG Boots from UGG Australia are a new addition this year (2009) to the lineup of classics for women. They have an interesting, unique look while still maintaining the basic traditional “classic” design that has become so well known in the fashion world.
General appearance of the Bailey Button: The height of the Bailey Button boot is the same as the “Classic Short” from UGG Australia (8 inch shaft height). The difference in the boots is the opening on the inside of both the left and right boot, with a button closure. One thing that adds a touch of flair to this look is the button itself – a large wooden button bearing the “UGG Australia” logo that goes with a loop closure to keep the boots snugly in place.
Colors and looks: There are both traditional and unique colors for the Bailey Button UGG – colors such as Chestnut Brown, Black and Sand are easily recognized and quite popular, but there are metallic shades as well that definitely have a bit more “pizzazz” than the traditional sheepskin suede shades. Like other styles among the classics, this boot can be folded down (cuffed) for a completely different look – adding more versatility to it’s style.
Even though Bailey Button UGG Boots are a new style this fall from UGG Australia, there are already signs that they could become some of the most popular boots in the women’s UGG Classics collection. They truly have a fun, unique and romantic look and would be a great addition to any woman’s fall and winter wardrobe.
How to Spot Fake Uggs
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion on October 8th, 2009
Believe it or not, a “Made in China” label is actually a good sign on a pair of genuine Ugg boots. The shoes are, in fact, made in China by Deckers Inc. (an American company) as of several years ago. Classic and Short Uggs should both sport “Made in China” labels. A “Made in New Zealand” label actually may be a sign that the Uggs are fake. The only exceptions are Ugg Nightfall, Ugg Sundance and Ugg Ultra boots.
Price is one of the primary factors when determining a fake. You should be paying around 150 dollars for a pair of genuine Deckers Uggs. Unfortunately for those of you hoping to strike a bargain, a 70 percent off sale on Deckers Uggs should be regarded extremely suspiciously. Genuine Ugg boots are made with high quality materials and have a price to match. If you are lucky enough to buy a pair of discount Uggs secondhand, the boots will most likely have a cut label indicating that they are not new. They should still meet all the other criteria listed in this article.
Each pair of genuine Deckers Uggs should come with a little booklet explaining exactly how to care for your new sheepskin boots. If your Uggs fail to come with a booklet, chances are they are fakes. However, there are some quite impressive counterfeit booklets to go along with the counterfeit Uggs. In this case, make sure that the titles in the booklet are embossed or raised.
Uggs are made from real sheepskin. You should be able to tell real wool from synthetic wool by touch and even smell. Fake sheepskin is not as soft as real sheepskin. It also is not as durable. If you rub the fur around the collar of your Uggs, and it comes out easily or starts to disintegrate, you may have a pair of fakes on your hands. Do not be afraid to use your sense of smell to sniff out a fake. The shoes should smell like, well, sheepskin! And unless manufacturers are spraying their fake Uggs with sheepskin perfume, plastic does not smell anything like the real thing. Also, any scent of glue or chemicals should be regarded suspiciously.
Two final details are important only because they occur frequently among counterfeit Uggs. Deckers Inc. does not make Ugg shoes in a color called “camel”. So don’t buy a camel-colored Ugg! Also, all tags on Deckers Inc. Uggs are white, never blue.
Classic UGG Boots – Versions of the Classics
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion on October 7th, 2009
Those who have had the pleasure of owning a pair (or more) of Classic UGG Boots are aware of how comfortable and versatile they actually are. These are some of the most loved boots of women, men and children during the colder months of the year.
For those who might be shopping or browsing these classic boots, here are the versions available as of the fall and winter seasons 2009 and 2010 from UGG Australia:
Classic Tall – This is the style mostly worn by women and are the perfect footwear for winter. They look great with a pair of “skinny” jeans – tucked in to the boot for a fun and very stylish winter look.
Classic Short – This style is loved by both women and girls and has a great look either with pants tucked in or worn outside the boot.
Bailey Button – This is a new version of the classic. They have an opening on one side with a traditional UGG Australia wood button fastening to add just a touch of flair. This style has some real promise of being one of the new favorites for women this season.
Classic Cardy – A lovely crochet knit boot with much versatility and style. They have a romantic soft look and are available in quite a few colors for both women and girls.
Crochet Classic – As far as I can tell, this boot is no longer being produced but can still be found for women and girls in certain places online. These too have a bit of versatility to them, being able to be worn up the leg or pushed down for a slouchy look.
Knit Classics – There are two new knit boots introduced to the Classics lineup this year from UGG Australia – the Argyle Knit and the Classic Stripe. My personal favorite of these two boots is the Argyle with a sort of a “fisherman sweater” look to them, very romantic and versatile enough to go with anything.
All of the Classic UGG Boots from UGG Australia have one thing in common – an inner sheepskin lining that is luxuriously soft and comfortable, as well as being “the” boots to keep feet warm in even the coldest of winter months.
Classic Short UGG Boot – How and When to Wear
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion, fashion news on October 6th, 2009
The Classic Short UGG Boot from UGG Australia is one of the most loved and worn boots by women and kids, and have become increasingly popular over the past few years. When wearing these boots, it might be helpful to have a bit of insight on the how to wear them, as well as knowing the times that they might be the most appropriate to wear.
How to wear the Classic Short Boot: These boots look great with jeans or tights tucked in to them, and can also be worn with pants outside of the boot. The sheepskin is soft and flexible, allowing these boots to also be cuffed over to make them shorter, for a bit of a different style. The favorite colors for these boots tend to be “classics” such as Chestnut and Chocolate browns, Black and Sand due to the fact that these shades are known to “go with everything” and have the most versatility in any wardrobe. There are, however, other shades that have a brighter and bolder look to them and would be perfect to spice up either a plain or more colorful outfit. Due to the sheepskin lining inside the boot, they are perfect to be worn without socks and in fact are intended to be worn that way for the ultimate in comfort.
When to Wear the Classic Short Boot: One important thing to know is that even though these boots can be “weatherproofed” to avoid water damage, they are not actually a good choice for extended wear or walking in deep snow. They are however, perfect for even the coldest of months to be worn under almost all other circumstances for keeping feet warm. One rather fun and interesting fact is that these boots have a “thermostatic” quality to them – they not only keep feet warm in the winter, but are created to keep feet cool in the warmer months as well, thus making them the perfect “beach boot”.
No matter how or when you wear the Classic Short UGG boot, one thing is almost certain – you will love the way they fit and feel – perhaps especially during the coldest months of the year.

When one thinks about UGG boots, they may automatically get a picture of Classic Chestnut UGG boots – these are the boots that may never go out of style with their warm and soft color and classic looks.
There are some lovely boots this year to choose from in the Chestnut shade – even a new addition that many women may consider a “must have”:
- Classic Tall — This boot can be found in both women’s and girls’ sizes and is quite possibly the single most popular boot in the world. It has a tall boot shaft (coming up just below the knee) that can be worn straight up the leg or folded over for a cuffed, shorter look. Lined with soft luxurious wool and is a “can’t go wrong” choice if one is searching for a boot as a gift.
- Classic Short — Again it is hard to wrong with this boot. It has the classic look and luxurious comfort with a shorter, mid calf height. This boot is also available in both women’s and girls sizes — as well as an adorable toddler version! The most popular look with these boots is jeans or tights tucked inside — very stylish.
- Bailey Button — A new boot added to the UGG Classic women’s collection this year. This boot is about the same height as the Classic Short, but with cut sides and large button closures that add so much to the looks. These can also be folded down for an ankle boot style to show off the inner wool lining.
If you are looking for a great boot for ladies, these Classic Chestnut UGG styles will almost surely be a hit. They really are exactly what their name states — true classics.
Sand Classic UGG Boots – Styles For Fall and Winter 2009 and 2010
Posted by admin in Shoes, Ugg Fashion on October 1st, 2009
Sand Classic UGG boots have become some of the most searched for in the UGG Collection – the soft color is a great combination with the classic look and feel that can only come from UGG Australia. For those who are searching for any of the Classics in the color “Sand”, here is a complete list of what can be found for women and girls this year:
- Classic Tall – This is most definitely available in women’s sizes but for some reason I was not able to locate a kids size for this shade – they may come available as the colder months roll in. These are the most popular version of the “Classic” Australian boots and can be worn straight up or cuffed down for a shorter, mid to upper-calf look.
- Classic Short – These boots come up to mid-calf level and can also be folded over for a cuffed style. They also look great straight up the leg with jeans tucked in or worn with tights. Available in both women’s and kids sizes – Toddlers sizes are available as well (and are adorable).
- Bailey Button – This could be considered a version of the Classic Short from UGG, but have vertical openings on the sides with large button closures. Seriously stylish, and they show off the inner soft lining of the boots quite nicely.
- Classic Mini – These are available for women only. It is unclear to me whether these boots have been discontinued from the permanent Classic collection from UGG Australia, but can still be found in places online. They come up to just above the ankle and are a good choice for ladies who like a shorter boot to wear under jeans or pants.
I love the looks of Sand Classic UGG Boots – they are perhaps the “softest”, most romantic in appearance, and the styles this year are nothing short of gorgeous. Make sure to check them out for yourself – it is almost certain that any of these boots would be a real hit with ladies and the little ladies too!

- Tall Wool in Black — This is also a new boot to the collection this year, and has much the same look as the original classic but with a stylish contrasting pom pom tie at the top of the boot shaft. It has cross stitching accents which add a rather “earthy” appearance.
