UGG in My Eyes

Winter has arrived.while UGG is becoming the necessity of fashionable girls. As a loyal fan of UGG, I have been studying UGG for many years. Today I will represent you UGG in my eyes.

UGG is not a brand at first, but a general term for a class of shoes.

Firstly I will talk about UGG boots’ Origin. UGG boots has been created in Australia during the First World War, by the Australian pilot, who wrapped in sheep’s clothing with two feet into the shoes to protect from the cold weather. Then it gradually became popular in Australia. Initially the name came in, called ugly boots which means ugly shoes. Later, Australians nicknamed it UGG. Until 1994, an American registered the trademark of UGG Australia, and manufacturers slowly into China from Australia. Today, UGG Australia, Yellow Earth and so on are very popular brands in the world.

As for UGG Australia boots’ Development, UGG is a legendary general term of boots. The first time you see them will not understand why these ugly boots are so popular in Europe and Asia, even on the earth. And now the world has whipped up a popular style, it is brought by the mainstream stars in Europe and America. There are not only suede boots in UGG boots, later they increased casual shoes, slippers, and a variety of seasonal shoes made of fine sheepskin. UGG Australia president once said: “UGG Australia is a good choice. Once you wear them, you could not bear to take off them. Its originality, credibility, and super-luxurious comfort will make you fascinated”.

I am very fond of UGG. In my eyes, UGG represents a combination of fashion and quality. The colors of UGG are positive, and the internal plush colors and the outside color is the same. Seeing from the shoe type, UGG is quite delicate if we touch the soft surface. Its shoe-types are also more delicate and elegant. The shearing is very neat inside, density, length of uniform, very soft and comfortable, light and comfortable, quite warm. UGG’s quality is also very good. With so many good qualities, I believe girls will love to wear them in cold winter.

Ugg or Fitflop? The battle of the boots

Amazingly, the forces of nature sometimes prove more powerful than the forces of fashion. Take the Demise of the High Heel, which despite enthusiastic encouragement from some designers on the catwalk is taking an awfully long time to come about. But a few flakes of snow, a smattering of black ice and the nation’s womanhood runs for cover, preferably one lined with sheepskin and with a nice flat, grippy sole.

This, on many levels, is right and seemly. However, it does raise — repeatedly — a mystifying question: why do warmth and traction have to be so darn ugly? But looked at from another way, perhaps they’re not ugly, merely a new kind of beauty? You see, a comfy boot can pierce the heart of one of the biggest philosophical issues in civilisation.

And here’s another philosophical humdinger: could the Ugg have met its Waterloo? With the landscapes of Britain turning into one giant snowy Richard Curtis set, a footwear battle is unfolding on our streets. After years of supremacy, Ugg has a rival, or at least a David-sized pretender. The Snugger winter collection of Fitflop boots — an oxymoron so perplexing to those not versed in the extensive lexicon of fashion oxymorons that it can induce headaches — has sold more than 80,000 pairs in the UK since its launch in September; 200,000 worldwide. It’s the Jets and the Sharks all over again, but with sheepskin.

Ugg game defined

For as long as Ugg boots have been produced and worn, people have made fun of them. Though sources differ, Uggs are believed to have originated in either New Zealand or Australia.

Aviators in World War I called them “fug boots,” according to a Central Coast Express article written in 2004. In the U.S., they were first sold in 1979 by UGG Holdings, Inc.

Recently, the boots have been considered fashionable by virtue of being worn by the likes of Pamela Anderson and Kate Hudson.

The first documented case of the Ugg game being played was in May 2006 by a blogger on the Web site NeoBlog, who claimed to have invented the game in 2005.

K-State’s campus was stormed by the Ugg game only this semester, though. Because of popular demand, we once again give you the rules to the Ugg game:
Ugg boots: 1/2 point
Ugg boots and North Face: 1 point
Ugg boots, North Face and sorority symbol: 3 points
Ugg boots, North Face and skirt: 5 points
Must be Ugg brand boots or Ugg slippers to qualify for points

Melbourne company ordered to pay $7.5 million over fake Ugg boots

A Melbourne footwear company selling fake sheepskin Ugg boots has been ordered to pay US clothing company Deckers Outdoor Corp $7.5 million for what a Federal Court judge has described as one of the worst copyright breaches to come before the court.

Deckers has pursued Melbourne company Hepbourne for over five years over the sale of counterfeit boots and has obtained court orders on a number of occasions preventing Hepbourne and its director Vladimir Vaysman from selling the boots.

But according to court documents, Hepbourne continued to sell the boots at markets and on eBay, even after legal action was launched and the homes of some of its selling agents were searched.

"Hepbourne, acting through Vladimir Vaysman, was intent on manufacturing and marketing counterfeit footwear, totally disregarding Deckers’ rights and Court orders," Federal Court judge Justice Richard Tracey said in his judgement.

"The commencement of legal proceedings, the execution of search orders and the making of restraining orders were simply treated as inconvenient interruptions to what was intended to be, and was, for over four years, a calculated and successful attempt to make money through selling footwear which purported to have been manufactured by Deckers."

Tracey awarded Deckers $3 million in damages for lost profits and a further $3.5 million for the flagrancy of the copyright breach. The defendants were also ordered to pay $1 million in costs.

"This case must be adjudged as one of the worst of its kind to come before the Court. It is probably too generous to describe it as "flagrant". Most of the damage complained of occurred after Hepbourne was well aware that it was engaged in infringing conduct," Tracey wrote.

Despite Decker’s long pursuit of Hepbourne and its directors, actually getting the money looks like it could be a tough process.

According to court documents, liquidators were appointed to Hepbourne on 26 August, which meant Tracey also had to give Deckers leave to proceed with claims against the company.
